If I had to choose the most fashionable season of the year, I’d choose fall. I adore the infinite outfit possibilities that can be achieved by layering with a scarf or adding a pair opaque tights. I’m always careful, however, not to spend my entire clothing budget in September because temperatures in most cities are still mild and fall really only spans a short period of about 90 days. Instead, I prefer to layer items from summer, spring and previous fall seasons to create layered transitional looks while saving my capital for the long winter months when I’m more likely to need new inspiration. Adding a cropped jacket like this BLANKNYC Suede Moto Jacket or ¾ sleeve floral top like this one from Zara is another way to spice up your midi without breaking the budget. The cropped style and 3/4 length sleeves will balance out your midi skirt nicely.
